I think of this album as a preview for whats coming next (especially Evil Woman - which I think is there first album) Strange Magic and Fire On High will have their touch in later albums.

Great record.
Waterfall/Evil Woman/Nightrider probably best sequence of tracks ever in elo history.
Great melodies, give Paul McCartney a run for his money....

It took five albums, but ELO finally all came together with this album. Eldorado was close, with using a huge orchestra and choir, but the harmony vocals were perfected with this album and the addition of Kelly Groucutt. Beautiful harmonies and melodic songs grace this album. "Strange Magic" was absolutely beautiful. "Fire On High" was amazing... especially the beginning, which sounds like something from out of a horror movie... (kcab nrut ,kcab nrut ,kcab nrut ,kcab nrut ...t'nsi emit tub ,elbisrever si cisum eht). This album was the sign of greater things to come!

i love this album because it has that sort of wierd felling when you listen to it. Fire on high is so cool, and you know the words that are backwards they say " sound is revesable but time is not, turn back turn back turn back" it a bit weired but its cool. I hope you like my review and listien to " face the music".

ELO found themselves in this album and realized their potential as as major force in the music world.
Jeff's ability to write songs like the beautiful "Waterfall" and "One Summer Dream" is only exceeded by his melodic singing ability and the talent put forth in his arrangements.

Probably one of the most solid albums ELO put out.
