Can someone tell me if ELO did a cover of Love is Like Oxygen? I know it was done by Sweet but numerous websites have lyrics giving credit to ELO. I googled the song title as well and came up mainly with Sweet and not ELO.
Can someone help clarify this for me?

why should jeff want to do covers when he's got the ability to right some top tunes of his own time is a fantastic album .well they all are
Blah. Why do covers when you have the ability to create your own incredible music. Granted, I purchased Feedback by Rush. However, it is not something that I really listen to. I, like most, prefer original work.
As for Love is Like Oxygen, that was written by Andy Scott and has a very similiar sound to ELO. However, there is no connection at all. In fact, the album Level Headed was an attempt for Sweet to create an ambitious sonic mosaic, cloaked in a neo-prog aesthetic. Yet, aside from the one hit, the album is very disjointed. Nothing like any ELO Albums
Lynne has done a few covers in his time.. thankfully he's chosen them carefully, check out armchair theatre, and also the night the lights went down on long beach, and roll over beethoven.. why cover anyone elses material, when you can write something just as good yourself.
No they did not.
Jeff seemed to write everything except for Roll Over Beethoven.
