I, too, am looking for a song title.
it was back in the mid to late 70's, and I think it was a collaboration done with the Carpenters. The title of the song (I think??) was "Calling Occupants" but I'm not sure.
I'm wanting to locate the album that has this (and other) songs by ELO.
Thanks!

I don't think ELO were involved
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calling_Occupants_of_Interplanetary_Craft
It's on the "Singles 1974-1978" abum by The Carpenters, for artwork see here: http://www.famousfolk.com/carpenters/1960s70s/78-singles-2.shtml
It was also on a Carpenters album called PASSAGE - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passage_(Carpenters_album)
Videos for both versions are on Youtube (The Carpenters' version, and the original version done the previous year by Klaatu)
EDIT: the only connection I can think of is that the Carpenters were singing about spaceships, whereas ELO stuck one on the cover of "Out of the Blue", which appears to be highly influenced by Wurlitzer Jukebox designs.
