I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... I listened to the Beatles and as John Lennon and Paul MacCartney have both said the Beatles would've sounded like ELO. Jeff Lynne is so overlooked as a songwriter and muscian by the critics and deserves a lot more credit. I have every single ELO release (UK) and sometimes feel that in his native UK ELO is very much overlooked, however that is changing thanks to lots of new 'Indie@ bands who quite openly say ELO influenced them and that Jeff's production was the best.
