Has anyone heard the Beautiful South version of "Living Thing"?
And does anybody else think its an absolute atrocity of a version.
I heard it the other day and it reminded me of that embarrassing old fella who comes out at a party and tries to do versions of great songs but makes them sound... well... embarrassing and cringe worthy. Which was weird because I love the song Living Thing.
Are there any good versions of ELO songs done by anyone else?
Even though it would be hard to follow up an act like ELO I'd like to hear other peoples take on the songs if they can give it someg new twist.
By the way is it wrong that everytime I hear the start of "Telephone Line" I think of Lionel Richies "Hello".... just that one word... Hello

A list of ELO covers.
There was a complete album of Jeff Lynne cover versions done a couple of years back, see the entries for "Lynne me your ears" on notlame.com and amazon.com
I tried putting links to the relevent pages in this message but the spam filter stopped the post from going through
I think any remake of an ELO song would be terrible. Their original music is so incredible that there is no way it could be improved upon.
You know it's hard to find a well-done cover of Elo. Actually, today I found an horrible cover of Last Train to London. jajajajaja. It's terrible. It's by an argentinean band or something like that. Here you have the link if you wanna take a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn3vu2GAbxM
