Band discussion

the sound system was advertised would sterilize a chicken within 100 miles. over 500,000 music fans started pouring into nelson's ledges for the event, a dozen or so bands over two days, it was ohio's version of woodstock. after listening to several groups the steve miller band, the j giles band, and several others as the night fell a large hot air balloon was filled and rose up over the crowd as electric light orchestra took the stage. this is the band we had come to see and they did not disappoint.

Does anyone know the name of the Haunting music that is played through Custer of the West?
I waited till the end of the film on Sunday and all it said was that the music was by ELO and no names for the scores.
It is such a beautiful piece I really want to get it.
Hope someone can help. Thank you

Can anyone tell me anything about the female backup singer(s) for ELO? I do not have an ELO record collection - the albums are not particularly common here in the American Southwest - and the official info, as epitomized in this website, gives her/them little or no credit, though in most of the great songs the female backup is an integral part of the sound.

Hello ELO fans! In catching up with some much needed ELO CD buying, I bought some Japan Mini LP sleeve editions used on ebay. As I have been sold fakes before (Face The Music to be exact), these I got raised suspicion...here's why and where I need help: with most Japan issued cd's, the catalog number is always on the inner rim of the disc and MATCHES the number issued for the title...follow me so far?

On 30th October 2006, Q Magazine gave the "Q Icon Award" to Jeff Lynne in London. I found the video here:

Has anyone heard the Beautiful South version of "Living Thing"?

And does anybody else think its an absolute atrocity of a version.
I heard it the other day and it reminded me of that embarrassing old fella who comes out at a party and tries to do versions of great songs but makes them sound... well... embarrassing and cringe worthy. Which was weird because I love the song Living Thing.

Are there any good versions of ELO songs done by anyone else?

Roy vs Jeff

Anyone know if there is a rift between the two that still exsists from the early days?
