This album has to be the best work of Jeff's career. The tunes are creative, the orchestral integration reached full maturity whereas it was a bit tentative on the two preceding albums. The two subsequent albums follow in the footsteps of this one and show ELO evolving, but this one is the jewel in the crown. I'm not sure why Jeff decided to remake "Do Ya", but it seems to fit well here.
